- turbonegro.com / Sept. 2007
:: Rune 'Rebellion' Gronn plays his last show with the band on October 27, 2007 leaving Pål Pot to step up as full time guitarist.
Not a big step for the communist dictator as he was the band's lead axe man in the early days.
As an orginal founding member Rune played rhythm guitar and could be considered Turbonegro's Malcomn Young. A musical mason of sorts provinding brick and mortar to wall of sound known as Deathpunk.
When asked about his decesion to leave the band Rune said, "Between touring, Turbo management and day job at Universal, there's not enough time for me to
even get wasted anymore..let alone spend time with my wife and daughter." Rune went on to say that he, "...will still be involved in the Turbo organization in the future."

departure as a gradual transition: "Christer has been on sick leave for a few months due to an ankle injury. The band has played sixty concerts with his stand-in Tomas Dahl, and it is
partially in respect to Dahl as de facto drummer that Summers now leaves the band officially."
