   Happy-Tom
   Busted In The Mens Room
   Magnus Jansson / Wild Blood

OK! Kids, it's time to bring some action on Norway's Punk Pride: 'THE APOCALYPTIC DUDES in TURBONEGRO!'

WB: Okey, Tom.....of Norway, I did this interview with you like 3 years ago and at that time TurboNegro was kind of unknown. A year later T.B. was a band everbody was talking about, I couldn't understand that until I saw you live here in Uppsala. You have an incredible live show but have you ever thought of doing good music also or is it just a image thing?

HT: No, we've never really considered doing good music also. But just wait, we may start playing some Wylde Mammoths covers any minute now.

WB: How come you were playing straight grunge music in the beginning and then all of a sudden became the denim demons playing Poison Idea covers and now playing some old rip-off punk?

HT: What was straight grunge music in 1989? I guess in Sweden, 6 years transfers to "all of a sudden"...jeeez, I know you culturally imperialized and undernourished mongoloids over there are slow, but I mean, come on! Wow! You really arrested me! Uh oh! It's a riddle hidden inside an enigma, I guess.

WB: What's your next step: Progressive Psychedelic Music?

HT: Yepp, good music like the Wylde Mammoths.

WB: Wylde Mammoths never played Psychedelic music so I don't see your point here!!! But I saw your video to "Get it on" and it was a great song & video, your best so far. Is that song about safe sex, like get the rubber on? Because I didn't listen to the lyrics.

HT: "Get it on" was a term developed by Swedish immigrants to the USA during the 19th century, it means "Please, I'll blow you for a tenner" (a "tia").

WB: Who's the nice looking girl in that video? Is it some groupie or is she availble?

HT: She's a famous actress/photo model.Yes, to a wealthy, strong Norwegian male like myself she's availble. I don't know about you paisley wearing Swedes, but I don't think so.

WB: I thought of that T.B. is a band you have to pick a fave member of because you're all looking so good, you know it's like KISS or the Spice Girls. My fave Kiss is Pål Stanley and my fave Spice is Sporty Spice. But in T.B. it's hard to pick one but I'll go for Pål Pot and Knut (Euro Boy). But who's got the most attention in the band, who get's the most girls (or guys)?
- Look at this ugly motherfucker right here: Happy-Tom, Tom of Norway or Thomas as his family used to call him. Tom is playing bass and is the sailor boy in Turbo Negro.

HT: Euro and Hank get alot of attention from the "novice fans", Pål too, but all the old-timers and the best looking girls & boys are of course aware of the fact that good ol' Happy-Tom is the brains and the talent of the bunch!

- Knut Schreiner(Euro Boy) can also be found in The Kwyet Kings and Euro Boys.

WB: Are you all into Alice Cooper Group or is it just Hank? Because I thought of that Alice Cooper dressed in women clothes and that was kind of extreme at the time, and you guys are doing the same thing with the denim look and make-up.
- Uhh...No,it's Hank von Helvete.

HT: In fact,Pål is the biggest and original Alice Cooper fan in the band. Yes, there are some meta-physics involved.

WB: I know you've done some cover songs like Bowie's "Suffragette City" and Grand Funk's "We're an American Band".Except for Grand Funk are you influenced by the 70's Glam scene?

HT: Grand Funk was never a major part of any glam scene, they just had a massive appeal to a certain generation at a certain of time.

WB: I know they weren't into the glam scene you stupid, I said except for Grand Funk.

HT: No, I don't give a fuck about Glam as it interpeted to be today. I only care about "Deathpunk", the genre we invented ourselves, and that no-brain, ex-dreadlocked, ex-metal idiot has tried to rip-off. We played the Bowie tune because we think women should have the right to vote too.

WB: "Deathpunk"!!! you mean imagepunk? Actually Imagepunk was invented by the Seeds. Anyway you told me that you were a good freind of Arne Thelin, vocalist of Kwyet Kings, Lust-O-Rama and Cosmic Dropouts. Is there any news on Arne?

HT: Arne's doing tele-engineering in Thailand, setting up the GSM-mobile system, as far as I've heard. I may also heard rumours that he's started a band down there, but I might have dreamt that, I don't know.

WB: I've heard you guys are sponsored by "Levis Jeans", is that correct and how come?

HT: Because we am a child, our ass is wild (and hot). That's why.

WB: Well, I believe Levis had to do those extra huge sizes then for you and Hank because your unhealthy fat. I've also heard you were almost attacked by some people because of your band name? Where the hack did you get your name anyway? and I don't mean Thomas....but Turbo Negro.

HT: We found it in a fortune cookie at a cheap chinese restaurant by Holmlia outside Oslo. Nobody has ever tried to attack us. Would you? I hope not, fatty. I'd poke a hole in you and watch you spin around the room like a deflating baloon.

WB: Yeah! I probably would attack you because you guys sucked until now, and that you saying that your playing Deathpunk! It's like me saying that I invented this genre called Psychedelic Oi Punk. Okey, I now you've been waiting for this question: What's your fave Garage band?

HT: Steve "Silk" Hurley has really contributed alot to the garage/house scene.187 Lockdown are the last of the greatest speed garage artists, but it can be considered a dead "scene". Like Deathpunk-it not a movement, it's a feeling you get deep inside, motherfucker!

- The Levis Collection of the year, right here.....Turbo Negro!!!

WB: Okey,Tom...that's it. May you rot in OSLO.... until I bust you the next time!
