How I came to work for turbo:
Oslo is a small town, and if you do graphic design and have an interest in rock, spend the better
part of ten years going to gigs, drink beer and so on, chances are you will do record covers for
somebody.
I knew Happy-Tom through that rock/club scene, and also through my brother who was a
skateboarder back in the days. (As you may know, Happy-Tom was a part of the skateboard/punk
scene sometime towards the end of the last century).
This I made together with Happy-Tom and Euroboy, while listening to the demo and some good old TOTO.
Rune Rebellion and Pamparius also popped in to check on us. We had a great time. I remember Euroboy
asked me to make a line under the title on the cover.
I did and told him: this looks like a Dire Straits cover! (Check out Making Movies).
He said: well, that's settled then, we do it like that!
For those of you who don't know: The snake on the cover is the symbol of terror-group Symbionese Liberation Army.
We just added one head to match number of members in the band.
A redesign of the 1994 classic. Happy-Tom had been given a snapshot of all time German
detective hero Derric. A friend of his had been to a press conference in Oslo where Derrick
was promoting the last ever episodes of the Derrick series. To make a point of his "death"
Derrick pointed a gun to his head, our guy grabbed his camera - and saved the day. Until we got
this great shot, the backside collage on the album was meant to be the front cover.
Anyway, This cover is one of my favorites. It has a good, scruffy terror-vibe...
Another redesign of an old classic. This I made practically on my own, Happy-Tom only gave me
comments by mail. He was really busy in his day job, so he didn't really have time for this one.
Luckily I came across some cool photos my brother had taken in Las Vegas. I twisted the colours
and came up with a psychedelic, weird thing that really doesn't match the music, but who cares,
as long as it looks cool. You got your cars and girls, and the title is Hot Cars And Spent Contraceptives -
so what do you except?
15 classics from Turbonegros repertoire makes this a 'Best of...' album with all your favs: 'Get It On',
'I Got Erection', 'Hobbit Motherfuckers'! No overdubs on this here double disc - its a

the awesome layout!
